On the afternoon of February 9, in Qinshan Second Nuclear Power Plant of Qinshan Nuclear Power, ZOOMLION cranes successfully implemented the country's first nuclear power unit generator stator replacement project. The replacement is for unit 2, using an innovative plant open-top lifting method, which not only marks a major breakthrough in China's nuclear power technology, but also lays a solid foundation for the safe and stable operation of the nuclear power plant.
The importance of the generator stator as the core component of the power generation system of a nuclear power plant is self-evident. It is responsible for converting mechanical energy into electrical energy, and bears multiple functions such as support, heat dissipation, insulation protection and magnetic field formation. Therefore, when disassembling and installing it, the requirements for precision are extremely high and the lifting is extremely difficult. The old stator replaced in Unit 2 of Qinshan No. 2 Nuclear Power Plant weighed 347 tons, while the new stator also weighed 325 tons.
During the lifting process, the new and old stators needed to be lifted in and out accurately from the maintenance platform of the turbine plant from the lifting holes at the top of the plant, and then through the turbine plant, the main transformer and other important production areas. This is an extremely high-risk and technically difficult project. However, ZOOMLION, with its excellent lifting technology and the strong performance of its 2000-ton crawler cranes, successfully coped with the multiple challenges of narrow slinging sites, personnel working at high altitude, the huge quality of the equipment, and the stringent technical requirements.
During the lifting operation, ZOOMLION cranes accurately, safely and smoothly completed the removal of the roof cover, lifting out the old stator, lifting in the new stator, seating the new stator, and re-installing the roof and other aspects. The successful completion of this difficult project not only demonstrates ZOOMLION's outstanding strength in the field of nuclear power lifting, but also accumulates valuable experience for its subsequent participation in nuclear power construction and maintenance upgrade projects.
