98On May 8, SANY Heavy Industry and Denmark’s BMS held an equipment delivery ceremony in Huzhou to officially hand over the SCC10000T 10,000-ton class lattice-boom crawler crane. As BMS’s first 10,000-ton class crawler crane, the equipment will be deployed in European wind power projects to support the development of local renewable energy infrastructure.
Xie Tao, Chairman of SANY Heavy Industry, Peng Jiwen, General Manager of Zhejiang SANY Equipment Co., Ltd.; Liu Biao, General Manager of SANY Heavy Industry’s Overseas Marketing Company; and relevant officials from BMS jointly attended the handover ceremony.
BMS is one of the world’s leading lifting companies. SANY and BMS established a partnership in 2024. Over the past two years, BMS has purchased more than 40 units of SANY lifting equipment, covering multiple product types such as crawler cranes, all-terrain cranes, and off-road cranes, with the equipment primarily serving the European market.
From the first SCC2000A-EV electric lattice-boom crawler crane to the SCC10000T delivered this time, the cooperation between the two parties has continued to deepen. SANY has continuously optimized product performance and on-site adaptability based on BMS’s actual construction needs and field feedback, driving product upgrades.
The SCC10000T delivered this time is the flagship model among SANY’s ultra-heavy-duty crawler cranes and represents a significant achievement of the joint development effort between the two parties. During the R&D process, SANY conducted specialized optimizations for European wind power construction scenarios. By integrating requirements proposed by BMS, the company developed a 199-meter lifting configuration suitable for installing mainstream European wind turbines, capable of meeting the construction demands of the new generation of large-scale wind turbines.
Additionally, the equipment has been optimized for transportation and installation efficiency. The new boom design ensures lifting capacity while better complying with European road transport regulations. The super-lift counterweight struts support complete transport and rapid installation, effectively reducing on-site assembly time. The dual-segment design further reduces the weight of individual transport units, making it better suited to the logistics and construction conditions of the European market.
BMS’s procurement of the SCC10000T and its direct deployment in the European wind power market demonstrate the customer’s recognition of SANY’s crane product performance, manufacturing quality, and engineering adaptability.
At the delivery ceremony, Xie Tao, Chairman of SANY Heavy Industry, stated that the successful delivery of the SCC10000T is a significant achievement resulting from the deepened cooperation between the two parties. In the future, SANY will continue to strengthen its strategic partnership with BMS to jointly expand the European and global wind power installation markets.
Moving forward, SANY Heavy Industry will continue to provide higher-value support to global engineering and construction clients through high-end products, customized solutions, and a comprehensive service system.
